Sorry, I've not used it in a long time and even at the time I didn't know any more than I documented in the post. Probably better to try asking on Twitter etc.

Ah okay. It's very unusual that root can't access a file - something must have been configured to make it so. Finding out what it was is the real trick. Phil suggests a couple of things but I don't know how to check them: http://twitter.com/#!/philwill/status/108244974885273600

Have you got anyone local with Linux knowledge who could take a look? This is a Linux thing, not specific to installing RSA. If not, you could try posting to the Ubuntu forums (http://ubuntuforums.org/) for help with the permissions.

You should probably double-check that the launchpad.sh file is executable (you can do that in the GUI by right-clicking and checking the Permissions tab on the Properties panel). I can't remember what error you'd get if it wasn't (I suspect that's not the one you're getting though).

Sorry I can't be more help...

Should probably check the permissions on the files - they may not be readable/executable by root (suggested by http://twitter.com/#!/philwill/status/108244104248430593).

Sorry, I don't know. It's something to do with the WebSphere Application Server configuration. If you don't need WAS, don't worry about it. If you do, you need to find someone who understands WAS configuration better than me.
